Let it Snow

Saturday morning my mom gave Charles and I a call telling us that they might get snow up at their house, so we jumped in the car with the dogs and lots of warm cloths and headed up to my parents house in Cathey's Valley. Since this year winter has not existed in California I was so excited to see the snow. The snow did not start falling until about 8:30 that night but the next morning when we got out of bed the entire mountain was white. We spent most of the early morning out in the snow sledding. My parents driveway by far the best hill I have sledded on in a long time. This was the perfect weekend filled with fun, snow and lots of family time. Loved it and can't wait to do it again.

It was so nice to get away from Fresno and enjoy a weekend together with family.

Tuck loved the snow
This was Tucks and Daisy's first time in the snow. They had so much fun playing in it.
Charles shot a black bird

After a full day of playing the pups were tuckered out

SRC Follies

This past Friday and Saturday the High School that Charles and I graduated from had their annual fundraiser. They had a delicious dinner, a live action (witch raised money for scholarships), and a choreographed talent show. The theme this year was "Let Freedom Sing", it paid tribute to all the people who have served our country so that we could have our freedom. The night was so much fun, it amazes me how much God can do for those who are faithful. Stone Ridge Christian High School has blessed my life in more than one way and I pray that it continues to train up the next generations to love and serve Christ more deeply.

He looked so handsome in a uniform and he did a great job singing!

The uniform that Charles is wearing is my Aunt Jacquie's Dads. Really special that he got to wear it.

DIY Weekend

This past weekend Charles and I had three days off of work... We decided that we would work on projects around our house. Friday night Charles had a Stone Ridge Basket Ball Game, so I stayed home and did a couple small things around the house, so Saturday morning we could start all our projects.

Saturday morinig we woke up early and moved all our furniture out of our formal dinning room so we could deep clean the carpets. Note: Last June we got puppies, which were not potty trained, and just as puppies will do they peed and pooped on our carpet, so we felt that it was time to deep clean them since our pups are now 100% potty trained. After we got the carpet clean we hopped in the car and went to Michaels to get supplies to make a wreth that I saw on pintrest. That evening we went over to our friends house to have pizza and game night.

Our puppies only 8 weeks old "before they were potty trained"

"L" for Lockridge and the "6319" for our home address
Sunday we moved all the furniture back into the formal dinning room and moved the living room furniture out so we could deep clean the living room and hall way. That night we dicided to relax and go on a date to a fresno monsters hockey game. When we arrived at the game a girl turned and asked if we wanted free tickets to the game, who could resist.  Our whole date cost us a total of $5 and we had a blast getting out of the house.

Monday I organized our bathroom which was much needed. We had so much junk in there that did not belong, plus once again I got to use an idea that I found on Pintrest.(I am totally hooked on Pintrest) My wonderful husband made me a candle holder out of an old piece of wood for the Beach guest room. We ended this productive weekend with a wonderful dinner with my friend that I meant in Kindergarten and her boyfriend.

All Decorated for Christmas

Our Christmas Tree
This year we did not have a fire-place so we improvised

I saw this in a magazine so I decided I could make it cheaper than I could buy it. I cut down some tree branches from my parents house and spray painted them white, then I decorated it with red and silver bulbs and our personalized Christmas ornaments. I had so much fun making this!

Each Christmas I buy a new ornament and personalize it. I think it will be a fun tradition to continue each year, especially as our family grows!
All the wonderful Christmas cards we got this year
A Christmas tree in our beach bathroom. I made this one too including the sand and shell ornaments

Bass Lake

The whole Lockridge family rented a cabin at Bass Lake the week before Christmas. It was so much fun and we all agreed that this would be a yearly tradition.
Day 1: We all arrived at the cabin early afternoon on Tuesday. Got the cars unpacked and the cabin fully stocked of yummy food, snacks, games, puzzles, movies and all our sleeping stuff. We wasted no time and got a 1000 piece puzzle started, which we finished in 24 hours. Megan cooked us a wonderful dinner of corn-flake chicken, rice and veggies. We ended the night with the movie Christmas Vacation.
Day 2: Woke up to the smell of coffee and monkey bread knowing that we had nothing to do that day but relax and enjoy each others company. We went on a walk down to the beautiful but very empty lake. Spent the afternoon playing board games, ping pong, and finishing up the puzzle. We all had another wonderful dinner and stayed up way to late playing games.
Day 3: We all woke up early that morning so we could eat breakfast and pack up the cabin. Two days at the cabin was just not long enough so next year we hope to add another day to our Lockridge Family Vacation.
